Taking forward Apeejay Education’s long standing commitment with Rotary, Apeejay School Noida recently hosted a Composite Investiture Ceremony for the Interact Clubs of Apeejay School Noida, Apeejay School Pitampura and Apeejay School Saket. It marked a convergence of leadership, service, and enduring human values.
Earlier, other Apeejay Education’s Schools had come together at Apeejay School, Faridabad Sector-15 for a similar Composite Investiture Ceremony of their Interact Clubs. Apeejay Education’s schools in the Delhi NCR region are in a vibrant ongoing close-knit partnership with Rotary, a global network of like-minded individuals united by a shared mission to drive positive global change.
For more than three decades, operating under the banner of Interact Clubs, Apeejay Education schools’ students have been carrying out a gamut of activities, especially geared towards social outreach. In the Composite Investiture ceremony, the Schools collaboratively spearhead year-long initiatives spanning a wide spectrum of causes, from promoting literacy and peace to championing water conservation and enhancing healthcare accessibility.
The primary aim of the investiture ceremonies are to induct fresh student office-bearers, who are entrusted with pivotal responsibilities for the academic term of 2023-2024. As they embark on a new academic year bedecked with badges of distinction, they pledge to take on a journey embodying the principle of ‘service above self’.
The Composite Investiture ceremony at Noida was graced by esteemed guests, including Mr. Sudhanshu Pachisia, President of the Rotary Club of Delhi Premier along with Ms Aneesha Dalmia. Also present were Mr. Shreekant Somany, the Chairman & Managing Director of Somany Ceramics Limited and Dr. Sonia Lal Gupta, both of whom are affiliates at Rotary. Dr Lal is also an alumna of Apeejay School, Noida.
On this occasion, Dr. Neha Berlia, Co-Promoter, Apeejay Stya and Svran Group, and Chair – Rotaract/Interact, Rotary Club of Delhi Premier said, “On this momentous occasion, I extend my heartfelt greetings to all the Interactors from our Apeejay Education schools for their outstanding contributions in the year gone by. Your hard work and commitment have truly made a positive impact. Looking ahead, I have no doubt that the new Presidents and their teams will uphold the legacy of excellence of the club.”
Addressing the audience, Mr. Pachisia presented Rotary’s guiding principles on truth and social outreach. He also advised all student leaders to take up teaching as part of their daily contribution to the society. In light of this, he introduced an ‘Each One, Teach One’ initiative and recommended students to educate others in their family or vicinity. He motivated the students by saying, “You must set goals that can contribute to your sense of accomplishment in order to move forward towards a set vision.”
The occasion was marked by a cultural extravaganza including an enriching nukkad natak.
