Assam Youth Asik Ahmed Honoured with the Bharat Shri Rashtriya Ratna Puraskar 2026 in Dehradun

Assam’s young achiever, Asik Ahmed, has been honored with the Bharat Shree Rashtriya Ratna Puraskar 2026 in Dehradun for his contributions to youth literature and social service by the Institute for Social Reforms and Higher Education. The award was presented by the Honorable Minister of Forest and Technical Education, Uttarakhand, Shri Subodh Uniyal. He has written many articles in different newspapers of Assam, as well as various content for digital media platforms. His writings focus on science, contemporary society, rational thinking, and human values. He is the author of four books — Samayar Sotat Chintadharar Paribartan, Bibidh Vigyan, Sampratik Shomoy, and Hridoyar Anubhab.

In January 2020, he served as a Science Worker with the Bharat Jan Vigyan Jatha and actively participated in the “Science Exhibition on Wheels”, Catalysed and Supported by National Council for Science and Technology, Department of Science and Technology, Govt. of India, New Delhi . Along with media engagement, Ahmed has appeared in more than 29 magic programs, explaining the science behind magical activities and promoting scientific awareness. He has also collaborated with the Pub Nalbari Assam Aryabhatta Science Centre and contributed significantly to societal development through media engagement.

Expressing gratitude after receiving the award, Ahmed dedicated the honor to his supporters and well-wishers, stating that the achievement belongs to everyone who believed in and supported him throughout his journey. The ceremony marked a significant milestone in his life and a proud moment for Assam.
