Breaking Barriers, Transforming Lives: Dedicated work by IMA Aurangabad

Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar branch of the Indian Medical Association (IMA) conducted a remarkable Maha Arogya camp at Kaudgaon as part of their noble initiative under the ‘Aao Gaon Chale’ project. The event garnered immense praise for its comprehensive healthcare services and immediate on-spot treatments. This is the 12th project under Aao Gaon Chale initiative of IMA city branch.

Not just a simple diagnosis, but the camp provided full-fledged treatments to patients, including blood tests, vision check-ups with distribution of eyeglasses, and advanced medical examinations such as bone density audiometry and PFT. The success of this initiative was due to the dedicated efforts and special guidance from Jaldoot and Devagiri Bank President, Kishore Shitole.

Speaking at the inaugural ceremony, Kishoredada Shitole expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Indian Medical Association President, Dr. Yashwant Gade, Secretary, Dr. Anupam Takalkar, and their entire team. The camp was further guided by the expertise of Dr. Yashwant Gade and Dr. Anupam Takalkar.

Addressing the significant issue of anemia, Secretary Dr. Anupam Takalkar emphasized its importance and ensured immediate blood checks for patients. Accordingly, iron-containing medicines and other treatments were administered on the spot to address the concern effectively.

Moreover, the event also hosted a bone density camp, enabling patients to undergo bone density measurements, and a free Pulmonary Function Test (PFT) that typically costs Rs 1500 in private hospitals.

Under the IMA’s care, Kaudgaon witnessed comprehensive health check-ups, including eye, bone, dermatological, MD Medicine, pediatrics, women’s health, and ENT examinations. This holistic approach to healthcare reflects IMA’s commitment to the welfare of the adopted village, Kaudgaon, for the year.
