Kishan R and Sabeena crowned as a National Tenpin Bowling Champions 2023

Kishan R and Sabeena crowned Champions in this national level tournament 

And Aman Murarka from West Bengal is the Most Promising Player

Kishan R of Karnataka and Sabeena Athica of TamilNadu won National Titles at the

ARC 32nd National Tenpin Bowling Championships, concluded today at Amoeba, Church Street, Bangalore.

In Men’s category, Top seed Kishan R of Karnataka won his maiden Title defeating his teammate Akaash Ashok Kumar in a nail-biting Final that was tied at 373 pins each. One ball roll-off decided (Kishan 9 pins – Akaash 8 pins) decided the Champion.

In the Women’s category 2nd seeded Sabeena Athica of TamilNadu won her 13th National Title defeating Sumathi Nallabantu (346 – 321) by 25 pins.

Aman Murarka from West Bengal was awarded the Most Promising Player because of his impressive performance scoring total of 4401 pins in 24 games at an average of 183.4.

Earlier in the day, in the stepladder round, played based on cumulative pinfall of two games, in Match 1 of Men’s category, 4th placed Akaash Ashok Kumar (KAR) defeated 3rd placed Shabbir Dhankot (TN) (419 – 413) by 6 pins. And in Match 2, he went on to defeat 2nd seed Dhruv Sarda (DELHI) (403 – 380) by 23 pins and moved to Championship Match against top seed Kishan R

In Match 1 of the Stepladder Round of Women’s category, 3rd placed Anukriti Bishnoi of Haryana defeated 4th placed Judy Alban (KAR) (448 – 315) by 133 pins. In Match 2 of Stepladder Round 2nd seeded Sabeena Athica of TamilNadu defeated Anukriti (347 – 325) by 22 pins and moved to Championship match.

In Men’s category after 32 games, after Round 3, Kishan R (KAR) finished at top of the table (6877 pinfall and 214.91 average) followed by Dhruv Sarda (Delhi) (6674pinfall and 208.56 average). Shabbir Dhankot (TN) (6349 pinfall and average of 198.41) and Akaash Ashok Kumar (6339 pinfall and 198.09 average) finished at 3rd and 4th positions, respectively.

In Women’s category Sumathi Nallabantu (Andhra Pradesh) finished at the top spot (3479 pins at 173.95 average) after 20 games after Round 2, followed by Defending Champion Sabeena Athica (3400 pinfall &

170 average). Anukriti B of Haryana (3350 pinfall and 167.50 average) and Judy Alban of Karnataka (3346 pinfall & 167.30 average) finished at 3rd and 4th positions, respectively.
