Collaborations mean when two artists get together and create something but when you have two biggies in the music business coming together then something is definitely exciting.
Both are based out of the city of joy — Kolkata . Kolkata has always boasted of the land of the rasgullas , fish curry , street food and Rabindra Sangeet but these two stalwarts have consistently always put the city on the music map.
Ritzzze remixed or in his words “ REMADE “ K- Town kids latest single Kuchi Kuchi which is a chill RnB song. It has glimpses of Chris Brown , Neyo , The Weekend and K Town Kid ( real name Shahbaz Hussain ) is bringing that vibe and element back.
The remix or remake has a Moombathon vibe and his signature style of “ StreetStyle “ music is heard clearly . When asked why he took this song and he said “ I know Shahbaz for some time back and we’ve always given each other mutual respect whether we meet publicly or at the gigs , we bumped in to each other at one of my shows where we spoke about the music scene and how we can improve the game. He told me about his upcoming releases and I casually said that I would like to give him a song with my kinda sound. The day he released Kuchi Kuchi , I said it’s the CUTEST song I’ve heard . It had a vibe , so he sent me the stems and I’ve reworked the song that suits my style . I drop my music at nightclubs , so when I produce music , I think like a clubber or any party goer. So im super excited about this one “
The date of release ? Well they want the song to be heard by all so they’re releasing it on a Free streaming app/website and they will make sure all premium djs in India receive a copy. They will also be allowing Free Downloads to a selective few .
Ritzzze has a line of tracks ready to be released which are basically bootleggers and remakes . Collaborations will always happen as he doesn’t believe in limiting himself . He says that “ I HATE LIMITING my sound . I’m an artist , I like the freedom of working with whoever I want . I don’t make cliques and I don’t make groups. I like people and I will work with whoever I fancy. “
K Town Kid has an exciting year up ahead and he has planned one release every month. His next one is IMPATIENT KIDS with rappers Valentino and Pzyko Rex . He says “ I am excited , gratified and humbled with the response I’ve got to all my songs . All I am doing this year is working hard , making great music and enjoying this success God has given me. I want to work more and I will give more . Blessed and thankful “
