Enabling Global Entrepreneurs to Build Stronger Financial Foundations Across India and the USA

0

The growing connection between the Indian and American business ecosystems is creating opportunities for entrepreneurs, startups, and established organisations to explore new markets. Yet international growth requires businesses to manage multiple financial, legal, accounting, and regulatory considerations at the same time. Building the right foundation before and during expansion can help organisations manage this complexity more effectively.

Ashutosh Kar, a Chartered Accountant in India, Certified Public Accountant in the USA, and Corporate Lawyer, provides professional advisory services designed to support businesses operating across these two major markets. His work brings together tax advisory, accounting, compliance, business setup assistance, and financial strategy, helping organisations create structured systems as they expand internationally.

Supporting Businesses From Setup to Scale

For an entrepreneur entering a new market, company formation is only the beginning. Choosing the right entity, completing registrations, establishing banking arrangements, obtaining relevant tax registrations, and preparing statutory documentation are all important parts of the process.

Ashutosh Kar supports businesses through these stages by providing end-to-end business setup and advisory assistance in India and the USA. His approach is designed to simplify administrative requirements and provide entrepreneurs with a clearer understanding of the financial and regulatory steps involved in establishing operations.

Whether an Indian company is preparing to enter the American market or an international business is exploring opportunities in India, structured guidance can help create a more organised path toward expansion.

Creating Systems for Ongoing Compliance

As businesses grow, compliance requirements can become increasingly detailed. Corporate filings, regulatory reporting, licenses, tax registrations, financial documentation, and other statutory responsibilities need to be monitored continuously.

Ashutosh works with organisations to establish systematic approaches to compliance management. Rather than viewing compliance simply as a collection of deadlines, his advisory approach focuses on integrating regulatory responsibilities into broader business processes.

This can help companies maintain better documentation, improve financial governance, and reduce the operational challenges associated with managing requirements across different jurisdictions.

Making Tax Planning Part of Business Strategy

Taxation can have a significant influence on the financial performance of a business, particularly when activities span multiple countries. Different tax structures, filing requirements, transaction rules, and reporting standards can make cross-border taxation a complex area.

Ashutosh Kar provides professional support across domestic taxation, international taxation, corporate and individual tax filing, sales tax compliance, cross-border tax planning, transfer pricing guidance, and tax optimisation strategies.

The emphasis is on proactive planning, helping businesses understand tax considerations as part of their wider financial strategy instead of addressing them only after financial decisions have already been made.

Professional Accounting for Better Decision-Making

Accounting provides the financial information businesses need to understand their current position and plan for the future. Accurate records can help management monitor revenue, expenses, cash flow, profitability, and other key indicators.

Ashutosh offers accounting services including bookkeeping, financial statement preparation, management reporting, accounts reconciliation, payroll support, MIS reporting, and virtual CFO assistance.

For growing companies, these services can provide a more organised financial framework while enabling founders and management teams to access information that supports operational and strategic decisions.

Introducing AI Into Business Finance

Technology is increasingly transforming the way financial information is collected, processed, and analysed. As part of this evolution, Ashutosh Kar is also driving Advince Books, an AI-powered accounting platform designed to simplify financial operations.

Advince Books focuses on automating routine accounting activities and helping businesses manage financial information more efficiently. Its capabilities include AI-supported bookkeeping, transaction recording, expense categorisation, reporting, and financial data management.

By reducing repetitive manual processes, intelligent automation can allow finance teams and business owners to devote greater attention to analysis, planning, and business development.

Financial Modelling for Forward Planning

A strong financial system should provide more than historical records. Businesses also need tools that help them understand possible future outcomes.

Advince Books includes financial modelling capabilities that allow organisations to assess areas such as revenue forecasts, cash flow projections, profitability, budgets, and investment requirements. These capabilities can help management teams explore different scenarios and make decisions based on structured financial information.

For startups preparing to approach investors, the platform also features a Pitch Deck Module designed to organise important financial information and projections into an investor-oriented format.

Making Financial Health Easier to Understand

Financial performance can involve numerous data points, making it challenging for business owners to understand their overall position quickly. Advince Books addresses this requirement through an AI-based Financial Health Score.

The feature is designed to provide a simplified assessment of financial indicators, helping organisations monitor their financial condition and identify areas that may require attention. Such tools can make financial information more accessible to entrepreneurs who need quick insights while managing broader business responsibilities.

Managing Multiple Business Entities

International expansion can result in businesses operating through several subsidiaries, branches, or legal entities. Managing individual accounts while also understanding consolidated performance can become increasingly demanding.

Advince Books includes Multi-Entity Management, enabling organisations to manage multiple businesses through a centralised financial environment while maintaining separate records and consolidated reporting.

This functionality can support companies with operations spread across India, the USA, and other markets by bringing financial information into a more coordinated system.

Combining Professional Knowledge With Financial Technology

The future of business finance is increasingly shaped by the combination of professional expertise and digital innovation. AI can improve automation, reporting, and financial analysis, while experienced advisory remains important for understanding regulations, taxation, compliance, and strategic financial decisions.

Through his India–USA advisory practice and Advince Books, Ashutosh Kar is working to bring these capabilities together. His approach focuses on helping businesses establish compliant financial structures, improve accounting processes, understand tax responsibilities, and adopt technology that supports scalable operations.

As more Indian and international businesses explore cross-border opportunities, integrated financial management can become an important part of sustainable expansion. By combining advisory expertise with AI-powered accounting innovation, Ashutosh Kar aims to help organisations navigate financial complexity and build stronger foundations for their next stage of growth.

Redefining Mental Healthcare Through Evidence-Based Excellence – A Conversation with Waby Saby Counselling LLP

0

India’s approach to mental health is undergoing a significant transformation. Increasing awareness, changing workplace dynamics, and a growing acceptance of therapy have encouraged more people to prioritize their emotional well-being. However, quality, ethical practice, and evidence-based treatment remain essential in building long-term trust. Waby Saby Counselling LLP is among the organizations working towards this vision by combining internationally informed clinical expertise with personalized care. In this exclusive interview, the team shares its philosophy, future vision, and how it aims to make professional mental healthcare more accessible, compassionate, and effective.

Q1. What inspired the establishment of Waby Saby Counselling LLP?

Mental health is an essential part of overall well-being, yet many individuals continue to struggle because of stigma, misinformation, or limited access to quality psychological care. Waby Saby Counselling LLP was established with the vision of creating a premium mental healthcare organization that prioritizes clinical excellence over scale. From the very beginning, our focus has been on delivering evidence-based therapy through highly qualified professionals while ensuring every client receives personalized attention, ethical treatment, and complete confidentiality.

Q2. Your organization often emphasizes “quality over quantity.” What does this philosophy mean in practice?

For us, success is not measured by the number of clients we serve but by the quality of outcomes we help create. Every individual has unique experiences, challenges, and goals, so therapy cannot follow a standardized approach. We invest in understanding each client’s circumstances before designing a personalized treatment plan. Maintaining high clinical standards, ethical practice, and long-term emotional well-being remains far more important than simply expanding volume. This philosophy allows us to build meaningful therapeutic relationships based on trust and measurable progress.

Q3. Evidence-based therapy is one of your strongest differentiators. Why is it so important?

Mental healthcare should be guided by science. We use evidence-based therapeutic approaches such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapy (REBT), and integrative psychotherapy because these approaches have been extensively researched and proven to help individuals manage emotional challenges effectively. Scientific methods provide structured interventions while still allowing therapists to personalize care according to each person’s needs. Our objective is not only to address immediate concerns but also to help clients develop lifelong emotional resilience.

Q4. Your team includes psychologists trained at internationally recognized institutions. How does that benefit clients?

International training exposes professionals to global best practices, advanced therapeutic techniques, and evolving clinical research. At the same time, effective therapy must remain culturally relevant. Our multidisciplinary team combines international expertise with a deep understanding of the social and cultural realities of Indian clients. This balance enables us to provide world-class psychological care while ensuring every intervention feels meaningful, practical, and relevant to the individual’s environment and experiences.

Q5. Waby Saby serves a very diverse audience. How do you ensure personalized care for everyone?

Mental healthcare should evolve with people’s lives. Children, adolescents, working professionals, parents, couples, families, corporate leaders, and senior professionals all experience different emotional challenges. Our therapists carefully assess every client’s circumstances before recommending appropriate therapeutic interventions. Whether someone is managing workplace stress, relationship concerns, academic pressure, anxiety, burnout, or emotional transitions, the treatment plan is tailored specifically to their goals rather than following a one-size-fits-all model.

Q6. Confidentiality is repeatedly highlighted in your philosophy. Why is it so central to your work?

Trust forms the foundation of every therapeutic relationship. People can only speak openly when they know their privacy will be protected. We maintain uncompromising confidentiality and adhere to the highest ethical standards in every consultation. This commitment is particularly valuable for professionals, families, corporate leaders, and individuals who expect complete discretion while seeking psychological support. A secure environment enables meaningful conversations, effective therapy, and long-term emotional growth.

Q7. How is Waby Saby contributing to workplace mental wellness?

Organizations today increasingly recognize that employee well-being directly influences productivity, engagement, and organizational culture. We partner with businesses through Employee Assistance Programs (EAPs), stress management workshops, resilience-building initiatives, leadership coaching, mental wellness sessions, and POSH training. Rather than focusing only on addressing challenges after they arise, we help organizations build psychologically safe workplaces where employees can perform confidently while maintaining their emotional well-being.

Q8. Schools and educational institutions are another important focus area. What role do they play in mental wellness?

Education is about much more than academic achievement. Emotional well-being significantly influences learning, confidence, relationships, and future success. We collaborate with schools and educational institutions through student counselling, teacher sensitization, parent engagement, and school wellness initiatives. Early intervention allows children and adolescents to develop resilience, emotional awareness, and healthier coping strategies before concerns become more serious. Preventive mental healthcare during the formative years creates lasting positive outcomes.

Q9. How do you see the future of mental healthcare in India?

The conversation around mental health is becoming increasingly positive. More people now recognize that therapy is a proactive investment in personal well-being rather than something reserved only for crises. Organizations are strengthening employee wellness programs, schools are prioritizing emotional development, and families are becoming more open to discussing mental health. While awareness continues to grow, maintaining high clinical standards and ethical practices will remain essential to building public trust in professional mental healthcare.

Q10. What is the long-term vision for Waby Saby Counselling LLP?

Our long-term goal is to become one of India’s leading evidence-based mental health organizations, known for clinical excellence, ethical practice, personalized care, and measurable outcomes. We aim to expand our work with individuals, families, schools, universities, and corporate organizations while strengthening therapist training, operational excellence, and standardized systems that preserve quality as we grow. Most importantly, we want to contribute to a future where seeking psychological support is viewed as a sign of strength and emotional well-being becomes an integral part of everyday life.

Closing Thoughts

As India continues to redefine its understanding of mental health, organizations like Waby Saby Counselling LLP are demonstrating that meaningful care goes beyond counselling sessions. By combining evidence-based therapies, internationally trained professionals, personalized treatment, uncompromising confidentiality, and a commitment to education and workplace wellness, the organization is helping shape a future where emotional well-being is valued as highly as physical health. Its emphasis on prevention, resilience, and ethical clinical practice reflects an evolving healthcare landscape in which quality, compassion, and scientific excellence work together to create lasting positive change for individuals, families, educational institutions, and organizations alike.

GrooveUrban Brings Global Reach Within Easy Access for Independent Indian Artists

0

The digital transformation of the music industry has created new opportunities for independent musicians. Artists no longer need to depend entirely on traditional record companies to make their music available to audiences around the world. Platforms such as GrooveUrban are helping simplify this transition by providing digital distribution services for independent artists and labels.

Founded by Priya Ranjan Bhatta, GrooveUrban operates from India as a digital music distribution platform serving independent artists and record labels. The platform enables music releases to reach Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music, JioSaavn, Gaana and more than 120 streaming platforms worldwide.

For artists, digital distribution is an important part of building a sustainable music career. A song may begin as a creative project, but reaching listeners requires access to multiple platforms, proper release management and an effective system for collecting royalties.

GrooveUrban addresses these requirements through a distribution-focused service designed for India’s independent music community.

One of the company’s notable milestones is the development of a community comprising more than 1,100 active independent artists and labels. Over the years, GrooveUrban has distributed nearly 25,000 music releases, demonstrating the scale of its involvement in the independent music ecosystem.

The platform’s services are designed around transparency and accessibility. GrooveUrban provides royalty reporting to help artists understand their earnings, while secure payouts provide a structured mechanism for receiving revenue generated by music releases.

Customer support is another part of the company’s offering. Independent musicians often handle multiple aspects of their careers themselves, making responsive support valuable when they encounter questions or challenges related to releases and distribution.

GrooveUrban also emphasizes that its distribution services are provided without hidden fees. This is relevant to independent artists who often have to carefully manage production, marketing and distribution expenses.

The company’s international distribution capabilities allow Indian artists to make their music available beyond the domestic market. With access to more than 120 streaming platforms worldwide, musicians can potentially connect with listeners across different regions.

This global approach contributes to what many creators increasingly seek from Global Music Distribution—the ability to make music available internationally without having to establish separate distribution relationships in different markets.

The growth of streaming has also changed the concept of an artist’s audience. A musician based in India can now potentially find listeners in countries far beyond the artist’s home city or state. Digital distribution therefore becomes a fundamental component of an independent artist’s career infrastructure.

GrooveUrban is continuing to improve its platform as well. The company says it is working on additional features designed to help artists and labels manage their music and support the development of their careers.

The company’s evolution reflects the changing relationship between musicians and technology. Digital tools are increasingly allowing artists to participate directly in the business side of music while retaining their creative independence.

For emerging musicians, having access to a reliable distribution platform can make the process of releasing music more manageable. From release management to royalty collection and payouts, GrooveUrban seeks to bring multiple functions together within one distribution ecosystem.

As India’s independent music community continues to grow, GrooveUrban is working to strengthen the digital infrastructure supporting artists. Its community of more than 1,100 active artists and labels and nearly 25,000 distributed releases provides a foundation for its continuing development.

By combining Indian market understanding with international distribution access, GrooveUrban is contributing to the changing landscape of Digital Music Distribution India.

From Computer Games to the DJ Console: Siddhartha Katiyar’s Journey of Turning Passion into a Profession

0
For Siddhartha Katiyar, music was never just a hobby. It was a passion that slowly transformed into a profession after years of learning, experimenting, facing doubts and, most importantly, believing in himself. Born in Kanpur, Siddhartha is the son of Asim Katiyar, an engineer, and Shail Katiyar, a homemaker. He studied at DPS Azad Nagar, Kanpur, and completed his graduation. Like many youngsters of his generation, Siddhartha grew up surrounded by computers, video games and music. What he didn’t know at the time was that these childhood interests would eventually shape his professional journey.

A Childhood Around Computers and Music

As a child, Siddhartha was fascinated by video games and computers. He enjoyed exploring software, downloading games and experimenting with different programs. At the same time, music was becoming an equally important part of his life. Growing up, he listened to almost every genre—from Bollywood music to English tracks. His curiosity about music eventually took him beyond simply listening to songs. He began experimenting with music production, creating remixes and learning how music could be created and transformed using technology. For several years, he produced remixes without really knowing where the journey would take him. Then came the moment that changed everything.

The Video That Changed His Direction

One day, Siddhartha watched a DJ performing and mixing remixes. The experience instantly inspired him. He realised that the music he had been creating on his computer could become something much bigger—a live experience that could connect with people. That was when he decided to learn DJing. He began teaching himself the craft, understanding mixing techniques, experimenting with different sounds and gradually developing his own approach to music. What started as curiosity slowly became a serious pursuit. Today, that journey is still continuing.

When Nobody Believed

Behind every success story is a period when the dream seems almost impossible. For Siddhartha, the beginning of his music journey was not easy. When he decided that he wanted to become a DJ, not everyone around him believed that he could turn it into a successful career. Some people laughed at his decision. Even convincing his parents to accept DJing as a profession took years. But Siddhartha continued. Instead of allowing other people’s opinions to define his future, he chose to work on himself. He kept learning, practising and improving his skills. Slowly, what others once considered an unrealistic dream began turning into a real career.

Turning Passion Into a Profession

Siddhartha believes that the biggest difference between a dream and a career is the willingness to keep working when nobody else believes in you. His journey from a computer-loving child experimenting with games and music to a professional DJ is a reflection of that belief. For him, DJing isn’t simply about playing songs. It represents years of learning, experimentation and a passion that started long before he ever stood behind a DJ console. His early interest in computers gave him the technical curiosity. His love for music gave him the inspiration. And persistence gave him the confidence to turn the two into a profession.

His Message to the Next Generation

Siddhartha’s story carries a simple message for anyone who is afraid to pursue an unconventional career: Believe in yourself and start. According to him, no profession is truly difficult when you stop treating it as a hobby and start pursuing it with discipline, commitment and passion. “Do what you want to become, otherwise you may regret it for the rest of your life.” He believes failure should not be seen as the end of the road. Instead, failure is part of the journey that teaches you, shapes you and eventually takes you closer to your goal. His philosophy is simple: if you have a dream, work for it. If you have a passion, develop it. And if nobody believes in you at the beginning, believe in yourself enough to keep going. Because sometimes, the dream that people laugh at today can become the career they respect tomorrow.

Siddhartha Katiyar — Article Opening

Siddhartha Katiyar’s journey in music continues to evolve—and with a strong foundation as a DJ, he is now ready to take his sound, energy, and experience to bigger stages and major shows.

Coronavirus disease 2019

0

COVID-19 is a contagious disease caused by the coronavirus SARS-CoV-2. In January 2020, the disease spread worldwide, resulting in the COVID-19 pandemic.

The symptoms of COVID‑19 can vary but often include fever,[7] fatigue, cough, breathing difficulties, loss of smell, and loss of taste.[8][9][10] Symptoms may begin one to fourteen days after exposure to the virus. At least a third of people who are infected do not develop noticeable symptoms.[11][12] Of those who develop symptoms noticeable enough to be classified as patients, most (81%) develop mild to moderate symptoms (up to mild pneumonia), while 14% develop severe symptoms (dyspnea, hypoxia, or more than 50% lung involvement on imaging), and 5% develop critical symptoms (respiratory failure, shock, or multiorgan dysfunction).[13] Older people have a higher risk of developing severe symptoms. Some complications result in death. Some people continue to experience a range of effects (long COVID) for months or years after infection, and damage to organs has been observed.[14] Multi-year studies on the long-term effects are ongoing.[15]

COVID‑19 transmission occurs when infectious particles are breathed in or come into contact with the eyes, nose, or mouth. The risk is highest when people are in close proximity, but small airborne particles containing the virus can remain suspended in the air and travel over longer distances, particularly indoors. Transmission can also occur when people touch their eyes, nose, or mouth after touching surfaces or objects that have been contaminated by the virus. People remain contagious for up to 20 days and can spread the virus even if they do not develop symptoms.[16]

Testing methods for COVID-19 to detect the virus’s nucleic acid include real-time reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT‑PCR),[17][18] transcription-mediated amplification,[17][18][19] and reverse transcription loop-mediated isothermal amplification (RT‑LAMP)[17][18] from a nasopharyngeal swab.[20]

Several COVID-19 vaccines have been approved and distributed in various countries, many of which have initiated mass vaccination campaigns. Other preventive measures include physical or social distancing, quarantining, ventilation of indoor spaces, use of face masks or coverings in public, covering coughs and sneezes, hand washing, and keeping unwashed hands away from the face. While drugs have been developed to inhibit the virus, the primary treatment is still symptomatic, managing the disease through supportive care, isolation, and experimental measures.

How Dr. Sagnik Bhattacharya Built One of South Kolkata’s Most Trusted Dental Practices

0

Introduction

Most successful healthcare practices don’t happen overnight, and City Smiles Dental Care in Baghajatin is no exception. What began as a single clinician’s effort to bring evidence-based, patient-centred dentistry to South Kolkata has grown into a practice serving families across Jadavpur, Garia, and Santoshpur. Behind it is Dr. Sagnik Bhattacharya, an endodontist whose approach to building a dental practice offers a useful case study in how specialised clinical expertise, combined with a clear philosophy of care, can shape a lasting local business.

Starting With Specialisation, Not Scale

Unlike practices that expand quickly by offering a wide but shallow range of services, Dr. Bhattacharya’s path started with deep specialisation. Holding a BDS and an MDS in Conservative Dentistry & Endodontics, he built his early reputation around complex, precision-focused treatment, particularly root canal therapy and retreatment of previously failed procedures.

This decision shaped the practice’s identity from the outset. Rather than positioning City Smiles Dental Care as a generalist clinic competing purely on price or convenience, the focus stayed on cases requiring genuine specialist skill, cases other clinics in the area sometimes had to refer elsewhere.

Balancing Clinical Practice With Academic Work

A distinctive part of Dr. Bhattacharya’s professional path is his continued role as an Associate Professor at Guru Nanak Institute of Dental Sciences & Research in Kolkata. Maintaining an academic position alongside clinical practice is demanding, but it has arguably strengthened the practice in ways that pure private practice alone might not have.

A few advantages this dual role has brought to the clinic include:

  • Exposure to current research, which filters into clinical decisions rather than relying solely on established habits
  • A structured, methodical approach to diagnosis, likely reinforced through years of teaching diagnostic reasoning to students
  • Credibility among peers, which has supported referral relationships with other practitioners in the area

A Philosophy That Shaped Growth

“Dr. Sagnik Bhattacharya, founder of City Smiles Dental Care, Baghajatin.”

Ask Dr. Bhattacharya about his approach to practice, and the answer consistently returns to preserving natural teeth wherever possible rather than defaulting to extraction or aggressive intervention. As he puts it:

“Saving natural teeth using minimally invasive, evidence-based dentistry is always my priority.”

That stated philosophy has functioned almost as an informal brand identity for the clinic. Patients who might have been told elsewhere that extraction was their only option have, in many cases, found that a more conservative, tooth-preserving treatment path was possible at City Smiles Dental Care.

Expanding Services Without Losing Focus

Over time, the practice has broadened its offerings to include pediatric dentistry, orthodontic treatment, gum care, and wisdom tooth extraction, among other services. Read more about the practice’s background and approach to understand how these additions came together.

This expansion wasn’t purely about growth for its own sake. Bringing on a pediatric specialist, for instance, addressed a genuine gap for families who previously had to visit separate clinics for adult and child dental care. Each addition to the practice appears to have been guided by patient need in the Baghajatin area rather than a generic template for what a “full-service” clinic should offer.

Lessons for Other Local Practices

There’s a broader lesson in this trajectory for other healthcare practitioners considering how to build a practice in a competitive neighbourhood like Baghajatin. Rather than trying to compete on every front at once, starting with a genuine area of clinical strength, and letting reputation grow organically from consistently good outcomes, tends to build more durable trust than aggressive early expansion.

Word-of-mouth referrals, particularly for complex cases like failed root canal retreatments, often carry more weight than advertising in a market where patients are understandably cautious about who they trust with ongoing dental care. That kind of reputation takes years to build and is difficult to shortcut, regardless of how much a clinic invests in marketing.

For residents of South Kolkata considering where to seek dental care, the trajectory of City Smiles Dental Care offers a useful signal: a practice built gradually around genuine specialisation and a consistent treatment philosophy tends to reflect that same consistency in day-to-day patient care, rather than one built primarily around marketing or rapid expansion.

Conclusion

Building a trusted dental practice in a competitive area like South Kolkata rarely happens through convenience alone. Dr. Bhattacharya’s approach, rooted in specialisation, ongoing academic engagement, and a clear philosophy of preserving natural teeth, offers a case study in sustainable growth within local healthcare.
