This is the story of Padubidri, Udupi District, Karnataka, where a transformative change in education is unfolding. The Urdu Aided Primary School, a cherished institution for nearly a century under the Himayathul Islam Society, faced challenges due to declining enrollment and outdated facilities. Recognizing the need for modernization, the Himayathul Islam Society decided to transfer management to new hands. The Alfalah Group of Companies from Saudi Arabia, led by founder Mr. Nazeer Hussain and Mr. Shabeer Hussain, agreed to take on this task.
Mr. ASG Harish Kumar, an Indian entrepreneur and Founder of Areyywah, was appointed as Operational CEO. Under his leadership, the school was transformed into Swadesh Smart-ed Academy. The new school features air-conditioned classrooms, solar power backup, projectors, and advanced labs for Robotics, English, Math, Science, and Computers. It operates with modern software and focuses on 21st-century skills. The Panorama Committee, which built the original school, helped maintain the legacy while integrating new advancements.
